Frequently Asked Questions

At PrecisionMD Wellness and Weight Loss, we want you to feel confident and informed about your care. Here are answers to the questions we’re asked most often.

Weight Loss FAQs
Do you prescribe GLP-1 medications like semaglutide or tirzepatide?
Yes. We prescribe FDA-approved GLP-1s (such as Wegovy and Zepbound) when appropriate, and compounded options through licensed, accredited pharmacies when FDA-approved products are not accessible or medically appropriate.
Not necessarily. Some patients use them long-term, while others transition off after reaching their goals. Our focus is on building sustainable habits so you can maintain results.

Yes, when medically appropriate. Alabama law requires monthly in-person visits for phentermine, and it cannot be prescribed via telemedicine.

No. We don’t require strict or one-size-fits-all diets. Instead, we emphasize healthy habits, balanced nutrition, and adequate protein, fiber, and hydration.

We don’t prescribe rigid meal plans because they aren’t sustainable long-term. However, we provide self-guided nutrition resources through our digital platform, and personalized plans can be created with a registered dietitian through Nourish (often covered by insurance).

Results vary. Some patients lose 5–25% of body weight, while others lose more or less. What matters most is consistency, safety, and sustainability.

Do you offer hormone pellet therapy?

Yes. Pellets are a convenient, long-lasting option available at our clinics. They provide steady hormone levels for 3–6 months.

Bioidentical hormones are chemically identical to the ones your body produces naturally. We use FDA-approved options whenever available and compounded versions only when medically necessary.

Yes. We provide testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for men, using methods such as injections, gels, patches, or pellets.

Yes. We require recent labs. If you don’t have recent results, we can order them for you.

Some patients notice improvements within weeks, while for others it may take a few months as hormone levels stabilize.

When prescribed by trained providers with regular lab monitoring, hormone therapy is considered safe for most patients.

What vitamin injections do you offer?

We currently provide B12, Lipo-B (Lipoject), and Vitamin D injections
